Dehumidification Drier for Food / Agri produces
CSIR-NIIST developed and commercialized dehumidification drying for dehydration of food & agri products. In the rainy season in India, the moisture content in the air is very high, so it becomes very difficult to dry the crops and vegetables. This novel technique provides solutions for flagging issues in the rainy season.

This technology involves drying the material under controlled temperature and uniform distribution of air to retain the functional properties and micronutrients & flavour. The multipurpose application of the model involves the processing of heat-sensitive exotic spices, fruits & vegetables, flowers, etc for drying under adverse climatic conditions when it is harvested
